Session Fees
We believe that good therapy is an investment worth making. Below are our current session rates:
- Initial Assessment Session $275
- 45-Minute Individual Session $195
- 45-Minute Parent, Couple or Family Session $215
For your convenience, a credit card will be kept on file to secure your session time and confirm your appointment. Session fees will be automatically charged after each session. Our paperless billing system allows easy processing of any major credit and/or debit card. Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) may also be used for therapy expenses.

If our services are financially out of reach, you might want to consider alternative low-fee community agencies. Please note that although these agencies may offer reduced-rate sessions, they are often a training center for therapists completing their education and training.
Cancellation Policy
TherapyWorks holds a 48- hour cancellation policy for both new and returning clients. If you miss an appointment or cancel your appointment with less than 48-hour notice your credit card on file will be charged the full session fee . If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so via email or leave a voicemail for your therapist at 408-508-6789 (Los Gatos) or 831-525-5000 (Santa Cruz).
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
